Recently drove the MAN TGM for a few longer trips and wanted to share my thoughts. It's clear the designers prioritized long-haul comfort: the interior setup feels spacious, with excellent attention to detail in its functional elements. The engine performed reliably during various terrains, though I noticed fuel consumption on the higher side, which is understandable given the vehicle's weight class. The customizability in the cabin area was a nice touch, allowing me to cater to my preferences, though it requires a bit of time initially.

I spent a week driving the FM 420, mostly highway, some city and a few bad roads in between. First impressions - the air suspension seat is a blessing, you can mess with the lumbar and height, made my back hurt less by the end of the day. I liked the visibility, lower cab height actually helps, mirrors cover most blind spots but there's always that one angle missing. AC and heating are solid, though didn't get to try heating much here. Music system is there but speaker placement isn't the best. Door handles are oddly placed, keep reaching for the wrong spot. Climbing in and out is easy, steps are wide and grip well even in the rain. Rear bunk is decently spacious - not exactly hotel room but good enough to stretch out for a nap. As for service and parts, didn’t run into issues yet but Volvo has a decent network, at least in bigger cities. Wasn’t blown away by some of the plastics and small details, but nothing that ruins the experience. JK tyres seem reliable so far. Would love it if price was less but it's not shocking for this segment.

Driving the EuroCargo ML 180 daily on urban routes has been a positive experience overall. Its handling in tight spaces impressed me, and the cab is spacious enough for a comfortable workday. While the braking system feels reliable, it's something to get used to initially. The manual transmission performs well, though I might explore the automatic option in the future. Would recommend giving it a test drive before deciding.

Recently, I had a chance to operate the IVECO EuroCargo, and it proved robust during demanding trips. The triple differential lock combined with its 4x4 drivetrain ensures consistent traction, even on slippery surfaces. Although the driver's seat aims to alleviate strain, extended durations in the cabin suggest room for ergonomic enhancements. Inclusively, it’s a dependable vehicle for intensive operations.

Driving the Scania P-series has been mostly a positive experience. Its safety features, particularly in built-up areas, inspire confidence. The available configurations cater well to varied tasks, and the maintenance package is a valuable inclusion. Still, occasional maneuvering in tight spots could benefit from more refined control mechanisms.

Driving the Scania G480 was a decent experience. The features like air-conditioned cabins and heated seats on pneumatic suspension are lifesavers in long tasks. While the power is evident with the 480 hp engine, the 12-speed manual gearbox requires familiarization over time. The spinning speed limit caps at 85 km/h-okay for heavy-duty but might feel slow on open roads. Sturdy build quality and reliable engine performance make it a dependable truck for specific needs.

Driven a bunch of trucks and I’ll be honest, the new FH16 didn’t blow me away right off. But after a few weeks, it grew on me. The fuel economy is better, for sure, saving a few liters here and there when you do those long distance hauls. Took a while for me to get used to the gearbox upgrade though, feels a bit tighter when shifting but nothing wild. It runs quiet, even though it doesn’t look much different on the outside. Maintenance, I can’t really say yet, everything’s still brand new. Comfort’s good for long shifts. All in all, no real complaints but not life-changing either, just solid upgrades where it matters for the job.
